Investment Philosophy
Our Investment Philosophy utilizes a value-based selection process to identify financially stable companies to build a well diversified portfolio while meeting the clients needs at a reasonable cost.
Value Based Investing
As value investors we are invested for the long-term, analyzing a company’s fundamentals, such as earnings growth, dividends, cash flow and book value. This value based selection process provides the basis for both our buy and sell decisions within our investment Strategy. Dividends are an important consideration as they have historically provided a significant contribution to total return. Special consideration is given to companies with a record of increasing their dividends with some regularity.
Diversification
The portfolios we manage are mainly composed of individual securities; primarily stocks and bonds. Mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs) are employed to a lesser extent to provide exposure to specialized asset categories such as foreign countries, precious metals, and commodities. No two portfolios are identical due to the nature of each individual relationship, risk tolerance, time horizon as well as any restrictions that may be imposed by the client on the financial advisor.
